1. OBJECTIVE

Provide a unique experience of contact with nature at sunset, promoting sport and group socialising, through a kayak trip down the River Cávado at sunset on a full moon night.

2. DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY

The descent of the River Cávado will cover approximately 6 km, travelling downstream, starting in Perelhal and ending at the Proriver facilities (Barca do Lago).
The activity will be carried out in double kayaks (K2) or Stand Up Paddle boards and will be accompanied by members of the organisation in support boats.

3. REGISTRATION

Registrations must be made through the official Proriver website. After completing the form, the participant must pay the registration fee (see point 7) in order for the registration to be considered valid.

4. PROGRAMME – 8 AUGUST (FRIDAY)

  • 6:00 p.m. – Participants gather at Proriver (Lake Boat)
  • 6:30 p.m. – Transport of participants and equipment to the starting point in Mariz
  • 7:30 p.m. – Start of descent
  • 9:00 p.m. – Estimated arrival at Proriver
  • 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. – Social gathering at Proriver with:
    • Caldo verde (typical soup)
    • Pork sandwiches
    • Dessert (orange cake)
    • Coffee
    • Juices and water

5. PARTICIPATION / REGISTRATION FEE

Kayak

  • €30.00 per person
  • €12.50 per child aged 4 to 7

SUP

  • €35,00 per person

Registration includes:

  • Kayak, paddle and life jacket
  • Transport of the participant to the starting point
  • Technical T-shirt for the event
  • Participation insurance
  • Final meal as described in point 4

Registration is limited to 60 participants.

6. SECURITY

Safety is a priority for Proriver. Security is a The following measures will be ensured:

  • Mandatory use of a life jacket throughout the activity
  • Support boats will accompany the group along the route
  • Presence of security and first aid teams
  • Compliance with DGS recommendations, if applicable at the time

8. IMAGE UTILISATION

By registering for the activity, participants authorise the capture and use of images/photographs of the event for promotional and commercial purposes by Proriver (social media, website and promotional materials).
